Susan Sills cutouts

For the past 30 or so years I have been working on a project recreating famous characters from art history in birch plywood. I have done over 100 to date. They are each exactly the size they would be if they were human and are free-standing and convincingly painted in oil paints. While some are meant to stand alone, others are presented in tableaux or installations where they relate to each other in unexpected ways.
